In business since 2010, Crooks Show Jumping (CSJ) is run by international show jumpers Lauren Crooks and James Brennan. Driven by the love of this ever-evolving sport and the ability to take both riders and horses to new levels of excellence, their combination of passion, dedication, and expertise allows them to compete with the best in the world.
Over the years, Crooks Show Jumping has developed deep connections in every facet of the showing business, building a respected network of industry professionals. Priding themselves on solid, long-term relationships, Crooks Show Jumping provides its clients - whether investors, buyers, or riders - the very best experience and facilities to succeed in equestrian sport.
Our Program
Crooks Show Jumping specializes in equine development, particularly in developing young horses for high performance show jumping; training and instruction; equine investment and sales.
CSJ’s training relationship with the horse begins in the horse’s fourth year and develops in relation to its maturity and ability. Lauren and James, along with their assistant flat riders, use their riding skills to manage and produce the careers of their horses—the most important part of developing a competitive show horse. Our international federation is the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) FEI; the US federation is the United Stated Equestrian Federation (USEF).
While Lauren and James continue to pursue the highest levels of international show jumping, both also take a great interest in education the next generation of both equine and human talent. Crooks Show Jumping caters to the serious equestrian, and with bases on both coasts of the country (Seattle, WA and Wellington, FL), the aim is to grow the sport and its athletes on both a national and international scale.

Clearview Farm
CSJ’s show-jumping facility is based on a beautiful 50-acre former-thoroughbred farm overlooking the Cascade Mountains, only 18 miles from downtown Bellevue, WA. The facility features a 72' x 180' indoor arena and a state-of-the-art, all-weather 240' x 225' outdoor arena that never accumulates water. The property has trails, hills, numerous grass turnout fields and paddocks, a Kraft 6 covered hot walker, and a treadmill, among other horse-focused amenities.
All members of the Crooks Show Jumping team spend a dedicated amount of time at Clearview each year. In the winter, Lauren and James base out of Wellington, FL, while Liz Denny keeps the Crooks Show Jumping program running year-round in Washington.
